Andersen trolley since 1958

A little history about the Andersen shopping trolley: In 1958 the Andersen couple started producing shopping trolleys from an old stable belonging to one of the parents. The demand for shopping trolleys increased and the stable soon became too small. In 1962 the company moved to its own production site and to this day the Andersen shopping trolley is still designed, developed and manufactured in Germany. Production starts with the aluminium frame that forms the basis for the lightweight shopping trolleys. Depending on the design, the frame is fitted with a base, canvas, wheels and an extendable handle. Innovation is of high importance. For example, in 2014 the cooperation with the German Ortlieb was started, to provide the shopping trolleys with waterproof bags. It also makes use of recycled canvas. These canvases are extremely durable, strong and water-repellent and therefore perfect for making the trolleys.
